myKnowledge
is represented as a 3-dimensional pyramid. Each face of the pyramid gives the user access to one of the main areas: a) Services; b) Content ; c) Training.
Each of these faces is sub-divided into 3 main areas/sections:
- Environmental Management
- Health & Safety Management
- Quality Management
and each section is divided into several levels:
- Initial Review – builds up a profile of an SME’s current performance in environmental, health and safety or quality management which can then be used as the baseline for the consultancy process
- Legislation – helps to build up a register of relevant legislation
- How to improve - provides information on optimising business processes and improving efficiency
- Controlling your processes - provides practical help and tools for management system controls.
The preparation of relevant content in each section of the pyramid will result in a highly valuable and individually-customised warehouse of current knowledge and information ready to roll out for the benefit of your clients.
myPROMIS
The core of the PROMIS service is the online integrated management solution. This application supports and integrates compliance with legislation and management systems in a user-friendly format that accommodates organisations of all sizes and sectors. Here organizations can define and improve their processes, with consultancy support, link them with related information or records of other aspects such as documents, raw materials, equipment, personnel etc, and manage them in accordance with legal and internal organizational requirements.
‘myPROMIS’ supports all the stages of implementing a management system, automatically documenting the outcome in an electronic handbook which follows ISO, EMAS and OHSAS requirements.
At all levels of the pyramid, SME users are offered the opportunity to invite the support of a qualified PROMIS consultant.
myQuestionnaire
Is the tool which allows to conceive, elaborate and verify any kind of questionnaire; to adapt it to the own requirements and the needs of the own customers.
myCommunication
Is a fully integrated tool for focused communication between consultants and their clients. It includes the option of direct access to a client’s working environment, subject to comprehensive access controls.
Technical Preconditions for the Use of PROMIS
To use PROMIS the following technical preconditions must exist on the part of the user:
- E-mail-address per active user for the registration;
- Standard PC with Microsoft XP or Vista and Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 3 with Adobe Flash Player
- DSL internet linkage with at least 1 Mb/s transfer rate.

The aim of PROMIS is to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises.

Customers Information:
Subscription period
Your subscription to PROMIS provides you with the right to use the PROMIS service for 12 months.
At the end of this period the contract will be automatically renewed for another 12 months unless you notify us in advance that you do not wish to renew.
Concurrent read-only user
Concurrent read-only user means the number of persons being allowed to have read-only access simultaneously.
PROMIS for Consultants – Number of Users
The number of users means concurrent users (people working in the system at the same time). This number does not limit the number of clients’ organisations or the quantity of additional data sets for clients which you are allowed to administer in your system to support your customers.
Extra Download / Web space allowance
The use of PROMIS is limited to the download allowance and web space which you bought within your licensed package.
If your allowances are used up, PROMIS will provide you with information about subscribing for additional downloads and space. When an additional package is purchased an invoice will be raised based on the number of months remaining on your existing PROMIS licence up to its next renewal date. Prices for an additional package is £ 11.50 per monthly for up to 10 GB of uploads/downloads + 1 GB web space.
If no additional package is bought by the user, PROMIS@Service will invoice the additional used transfer volume to the customer. The unit of settlement is GB/month. Prices per 1GB are £1.80 per monthly.
10 GB would be enough to upload/download for instance ten thousand 1 MB documents a month.
All Prices are stated exclusive of VAT.

myQualification
Local Management Assistants
The role of Local Management Assistants is to assist user SMEs in managing the implementation of myPROMIS (e.g. by helping with the entry and organisation of data) and to support the work of the PROMIS Lead Consultants.
If you can demonstrate experience of working with SMEs in implementing and managing systems then you may qualify to be listed in the PROMIS Consultants’ Database. You do not need to have the same level of competence in quality, environmental, health & safety and/or integrated management systems as is required of a PROMIS Lead Consultant and would be requested to undergo the PROMIS training.
The following tables have been prepared to provide a framework for your qualification. Please complete all aspects which may be relevant to your qualifications and to the role for which you are applying.
PROMIS Lead Consultant
You may qualify as a PROMIS Lead Consultant if you are an experienced provider of advice, resources or training to SMEs in the fields of quality, environmental, health & safety and/or integrated management systems.
Your CV should evidence your expertise and services including relevant aspects of
- best practice techniques
- regulatory compliance
- performance assessment and management and
- continual improvement
in your selected discipline(s) and industry sectors.
Your professional competences should be supported by
a) Appropriate and recognised professional qualifications where applicable; and/or
b) Evidence of professional leadership or special contribution in your technical field(s) in the areas of quality, environmental, health & safety and/or integrated management systems (e.g. by the publication of technical work, or by the recognition of educational courses you have designed and delivered).
All PROMIS Lead Consultants must pass the required PROMIS training course to complete their qualification as a PROMIS Lead Consultant or otherwise demonstrate achievement of the required competence.
The quality of the services is underpinned by a pool of consultants and subject matter experts who are qualified following CEN guidelines . They can be selected online by the SMEs to support their daily work.
The database of qualified consultants, with details of their experience and their own professional profile is searchable in various ways by potential SME clients who can make contact through PROMIS.
