0. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device, allowing you to work on the site and to gather information about the online activities. For example, PROMIS® uses cookies to store your preferences and settings, to provide assistance during the login procedure, to prevent scams and analyze site operations.
1. Log files
Each time you visit our portal we may collect certain data. That is your IP-address, the type of browser you are using and the type of operating system you are using. We may also collect the time and amount of the transferred data. This usually non-personal data may be only collected and used to optimize our website, for reasons of data security and for statistical purposes. We only use the data from this log file in anonymous form without reference to a specific individual user.
2. Collection of personal Data
2.1 In order to use our various services you have to register. By doing so, you provide us with certain personal data according to the registration process. The types of personal data that may be collected include name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number and financial information, such as credit card or bank account numbers. When you have completed the registration process successfully you will be provided with a user name and password for authentication.
2.2 By using the various modules of the PROMIS service (e.g. filling out the questionnaires in Level 1 of the PROMIS pyramid) you may be asked for further personal data.
3. Use of personal data
3.1 The personal data you give us is only processed and used for the administration of the registration and authentication process and/or to provide the services of the modules in question. We may disclose your personal data by transmission to consultants qualified for PROMIS and selected by you as far as it is necessary to provide the services of the third party in the different modules and for billing purposes.
3.2 Apart from that we do not give your personal data to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
3.3 Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of personal data, we cannot assure you that personal data we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
4. Third parties
Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this notice addresses only the use and disclosure of personal data we as PROMIS@service collect from you. If you disclose your personal data to others (e.g. consultants qualified for PROMIS), different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personal data you disclose to them. PROMIS@service does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable.
5. Your rights
You are entitled to the right of access to personal data and the right to obtain as appropriate the rectification, erasure or blocking of data the processing of which does not comply with the applicable law, in particular because of the incomplete or inaccurate nature of the data.
6. Chances to this notice
PROMIS@service reserves the right to amend this notice on privacy policy in the event that this becomes necessary due to gaps in this notice identified after its release, or in the event that it becomes necessary with respect to additional or amended services provided by PROMIS@service.
